Introduction:
On 16th April, 2024, the Foundation for Youth Development team embarked on a heartwarming
journey to visit the orphanage of our Lady Mother of Perpetual Help Charisma, driven by our
commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of children and youths.
Our goal was simple yet profound: to bring joy, companionship, and a sense of belonging to the
children who call Orphanage their home.

Purpose of the Visit:
Our visit aimed to create memorable experiences for the children, fostering bonds of friendship
and love. We sought to uplift their spirits, provide encouragement, and offer support through the
provision of basic amenities and food items.

ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED:
Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm smiles and eager faces. The day kicked off with vibrant
dance performances, uplifting songs, and drumming sessions, with our FYD team joining in!
Laughter filled the air as children and volunteers bonded over shared experiences.

INTERACTIONS WITH THE CHILDREN:
Our team had the privilege of getting to know the children on a personal level. We listened to their
stories, dreams, and aspirations, offering words of encouragement and sharing heartfelt moments
of joy and laughter. It was heartening to witness the resilience and optimism that radiated from
each child.

HIGHLIGHTS:
Witnessing the children’s incredible talents during the dance session was a highlight, along with
conversations with teenagers dreaming of becoming nurses, doctors and take on other notable
career paths showcasing unwavering determination despite their circumstances.

CONCLUSION:
As we bid farewell, our hearts were filled with gratitude and humility. The bonds forged during
our visit will forever remain etched in our memories, serving as a reminder of the transformative
power of love and compassion. We leave with renewed determination to continue our efforts in
making a difference in the lives of these remarkable youths and children.
